If you are a Group (3 or more persons), leaving Canada, or your resident Province, you should ensure your Group has Out of Canada Travel Medical Insurance! Travel Medical Insurance will cover many additional expenses Canadian Government Health Insurance does not pay for, as well as covering Excess limits. For instance Ontario will only pay up to $400. Per day out of Province, while BC is only $75.00! The best, and usually cheapest way is to insure everyone on a Group Travel Insurance Plan. In fact if you are travelling just for a day or a few days, the premium savings alone on a group package will be astounding. A one day trip can be 1/10th or even 1/20th the cost per person of a comparable individual policy premium.

I can arrange one day or multi-day border crossing coverage for any size, or age group As you can see from the photo above, I'm into White Water Rafting. Also bungee jumping, ski jumping, trick skiing, hockey, para-sailing, underwater diving and a whole bunch of other activities most Insurance Companies won't insure. That's right, I am not actually participating in these activities, I am just selling the Out of Canada Travel Medical Insurance on them! I do insure many high school groups for such activities as hockey, volleyball, skiing, and football when they travel into the United States.

The rate on this type of group travel medical insurance is as little as $1.75  per person per day to age 30. The minimum policy issue is only $16.00.  The over 30-54 crowd pay a little more- $2.10 a day/person, ages 55-60 -$2.50 a day/person; ages 61-65-$3.80 day/person; ages 66-70-$4.70 day/person. If you were to buy an individual policy on each person, the cheapest premium available would be $16.00 each! The above example provides $2,000,000. Canadian Excess Hospital Medical coverage over your government health insurance (per person).

Coverage starts the minute you leave your Province, and ends 11.59 p.m. of the stated return date on your policy or the time your cross back into your Province, if earlier. There is no Deductible, the Insurance Company pays the provider of services directly (up front), and additional features of the plan cover FAMILY VISITATION TO BEDSIDE, OUT OF POCKET ALLOWANCE FOR PATIENT OR FAMILY MEMBERS, RETURN OF VEHICLE, RETURN OF DECEASED, ACCIDENTAL DENTAL AND DENTAL EMERGENCIES. Best of all there is no PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS EXCLUSION ON SHORT TRIPS OF 35 DAYS OR LESS ON AGES RIGHT UP TO 70!

Injuries incurred in the actual sport activity are covered! So whether you're into safe activities like golfing or more adventuresome like para sailing or underwater diving, I can insure your medical health on your out of Province or Out of Canada trip.(Rock climbing, speed contests, and professional sports activities are excluded, under Sporting activities-all other sports are covered)

If you are not a sports group, but still travelling out of Province, I can offer you the same benefits as noted in the above examples at the same rates, up to age 70. The only criteria is that you are a group of insureds. Of course I can insure individuals on separate policies as well. Because I have so many Insurance Companies represented, I can insure any age.

If your group is over age 70, I can underwrite your members individually and confirm whether their pre-existing conditions will be covered or not. Usually a pre-existing condition itself is not a problem. The problem lies in the period of the stability of the pre-ex prior to travel. If the stability period is too short, the pre-ex can not be covered!

If your group requires Trip Cancellation, Interruption or Delay,  I have other plans which include "All Inclusive" policies. This plan is great for pre-paid air flights and land transportation. However it won't cover you if you simply decide not to go on the trip. There must be a medical reason as defined in the policy.

I also sell Manulife Travel, and Travel Underwriters   which offers a variety of options, including a deluxe stand alone Trip Cancellation Plan. Some policies can be purchased anytime prior to departure.  Other policies require you purchase within 48 or 72 hours of booking the trip.
