Destination Travel Health Plans for
Canadian Travel Medical Insurance is one of the many
programs and Insurers I represent. Destination can
be extremely competitive on serious pre-existing medical
conditions, and also very competitive on healthy
clients. Insureds must qualify for the plan
and have the required stability period.
Destination Travel is currently underwritten
by Co-operators Life Insurance Company,
a member of The Co-operators Group,
is one of the largest Canadian-owned life insurance
providers.

Claims: Destination Policies
written on or after August 1 2009: You must notify 416-340-1553
(collect) or 1-866-261-1723 within 24 hours of any
emergency medical treatment. Failure to do
so will result in your being responsible for 20%
of any eligible expenses incurred unless your
emergency prevents you from calling. You
must call as soon as medically possible or have
someone call on your behalf. If you or
someone on your behalf does not call us
prior to the arrangement of an Emergency
Assistance Service (as stated in the Schedule of
Benefits), no benefit is payable. The Emergency Medical
Assistance provides services 24 hours per day, 7 days a
week.
